: Thou art going to do WHAT!? : What's the big deal? It's just a harmless Nightmare Night prank. You said you wanted to have fun, didn't you? : Yes, but... We are not sure if this is the type of "fun" that a member of the royal family should be having... : It'll be fine, I promise! Now come on, there's a house up ahead that belongs to another pegasus I know- He'll LOVE this.
Some facts about this piece:
Rainbow Dash is dressed as Aya Brea, from the Science Fiction Horror game Parasite Eve. There were very few reference images of Aya in her leather coat and jeans, but luckily for me it's a rather easy to remember. [link] Princess Luna's costume had a bit more thought behind it- She's wearing a costume similar to Garnet til Alexandros XVII from Final Fantasy IX (easily the best Final Fantasy title). I chose Garnet not only for the simplicity of her clothing(I'm lazy, okay?), but because of some of the similarities she shares with Luna; particularly in the way that Garnet also has a problem with her royal voice and so tries to speak like a commoner as the game goes on. It's not the best comparison, but it was enough for me to go ahead with it. I had originally planned to do a big town scene with several characters in costume as well as several little easter eggs hidden around town to find, but found that going down that road would have taken far too long. This was originally a static image, but before going to sleep on Saturday night, an idea popped into my head thus resulting in moving clouds in the background. It was animated using RPG Maker 2003. I prefer S1 Luna design. I lol'd when I saw how many pixels this was horizontally. Tom is hidden somewhere.
Now that this is out of the way, I can finally get back to working on the graphics for Pony Quest~ Joy!
One final note, Tonight's episode of The Walking Dead =
Sigh, I so want to get back to spriting again now
Thank you.
I guess this goes without saying, but I have you to thank for inspiring me to try backgrounds again.
(Oh Aya has nothing to do with the book.) ^_^
