Azure Crash - Trance Form

What does Azure dream about at night after downing a high in sugar soft drink? Most of it's too weird to mention, but one particular reoccurring dream has him as a super hero~

All through the night he is lying awake

An idea that has been nagging me for the last couple weeks now. Azure, or I should say Azul, had his design inspired by the amazing Akira Toriyama and his work in Dragon Quest and Dragon Ball. A few weeks back I touched on that with these sprites. Now I thought about making a super form, or trance as I'm calling it(Final Fantasy IX FTW!) to go along with those, but then shifted the idea over to his pony incarnation, thus began the design process.

I threw around several mane and tail designs, some of them being hilariously bad. The hair color I had settled on right from the very start, but later made a prototype palette swap with a mane/tail the same color as his regular form's coat.

The wing design is where I wanted the trance form to show through the most; where Super Saiyans sport blond hair that stand up on end(or explode in volume), Super Pegasi (at least in AC's case) will sport giant slick wings.

The wing design was heavily inspired (Read: copied) by this image of Rainbow Dash that's been floating around the net for months.

Color-wise, he now reflects the colors of his flank stamp (minus the royal blue in this design). His eyes turn golden, as a reference to the hair color of Super Saiyans.

Abilities: Can fly at supersonic speed. Able to launch feathers from his wings like missiles that explode on contact. When his wings are fully erect and laid flat, they can be used like swords and can cut objects as he flies through them.
